Happy Easter folks! We will be closed for the next two weeks from Good Friday 15th April through to 28th April.

It's been a busy six months since re-opening in October 2021 and as a small team, the pressures of staying open and providing high level service have left us a bit depleted and needing a break to recharge.

So with Alex heading home to Perth for the first time in a long while, I'm taking the opportunity to visit close friends in Europe....AND will be attending the MIDO eyewear trade show in Milan!

Mixing things up from the usual Paris trade show in September, this first big show in two years is sure to be filled with new ideas, trends and innovations and I can't wait to give you a sneak peek of things to come to PEEP.

With so many processes and such a highly-skilled micro team, this small batch label is limited in their production but totally worth the wait if you can get your hands on a pair!

We've noticed a distinct shift in sustainability in the eyewear industry lately and the new Eco collection from @garrettleight has arrived in store!

The range utilises a bio-acetate that produces 60% less carbon dioxide than traditional plastics and consumes 53% less energy than industry standards - a step in the right direction to tackle the climate crisis.

All the frames are biodegradable and have a vegetable plasticiser which significantly reduces the reliance on petroleum.

What a long way we've come since the early 90s.

Yet there is still work to do to #breakthebias and eradicate gender bias in not only our industry, but so many others.

Masks may not be required anymore in most indoor settings, however as a health care setting they still are, so we kindly ask all clients to continue to wear them in store as we like to get up close and personal 😅

An N95 or surgical mask is best to prevent fog during an eye test, but a fitted cloth mask is OK too.
